Competence Frameworks / Structures:
I can provide expertise and guidance to research, craft, curate and implement competency or skillset structures aligned to the business and functional aims and direction. The focus is always on creating a solution that is both relevant and practical, so that it can be used in the every-day activity of those it aims to support.
Once created these frameworks can guide the creation and curation of relevant learning materials and resources, and support an individual's career development plans.
Learning Activities and Interventions:
I work with clients to create and implement a blend of learning activities to develop capability – for example, capability assessment, development workshops, projects, individual and team coaching, and technology based and blended solutions.
I have provided this expertise to businesses in finance, commercial property, commodity trading, supply organisastions, telecommunications and commercial sectors, in different geographies around the world.
Processes and approach:
I can help organisations review and update their talent management and development processes and approach to achieve the talent aims and intentions.
This can include assistance in developing line managers and others with responsibility for developinng and managing the future talent successfully.
Example:
I worked with a large UK commercial property business to develop and organise a programme of leadership development for those taking on their first leadership role.
The programme was designed to use a mix of methods and media – face-to-face workshops, work-based activities, mentoring, peer reviews and learning resources – and is structured over 12- 18 months. It was readily adopted and continues to be effective.
